MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Thursday that the first team can now hold full team training at Centre Nutrilait. The provincial public health accepted the demand for Impact players to resume full team training, following the health and security protocol submitted to the government and MLS. The team had to comply to a strict screening process following the guidelines of the league. Since Monday, all players passed a medical test and two Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests 24 hours apart, 72 hours before the start of training.Players, technical staff, and some essential staff will be tested every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Only the ones with negative results will be allowed to enter the facilities and attend training.

Players and essential staff will now have access to the indoor facilities at Centre Nutrilait, including locker rooms, showers and the gym, following strict sanitary rules. MLS lifted the moratorium on full team training on June 4 and full team training sessions are now mandatory for all players. Following MLS guidelines, media will not have access to the facilities and to the parking lot, but the club will provide video and photo content, as well as players’ comments.
