Rewind - Our first trip to the playoffs

- A tribute was paid before the game to Italian player Alessandro Nesta for his last regular season appearance as a player at Stade Saputo after two seasons with the Impact.

- It was only eight days after the game against Philadelphia Union that the Impact officially clinched a spot in the MLS Cup playoffs for the first time in its history. Despite a loss on October 26 against Toronto FC, the Impact finished fifth in the Eastern Association, tied with the Chicago Fire for a spot in the fall tournament. However, the number of goals scored during the season gave the Impact the advantage.

- Since 2012, Karl Ouimette has paved the way for 17 other players from the Montreal Impact Academy who have signed a contract with the first team.

- Karl Ouimette has been playing since 2018 with the Indy Eleven in the USL.
