Jukka Raitala called up by Finland national team

MONTREAL – Defender Jukka Raitala has been selected by the Finland national team for two 2020 European Championship qualifiers, against Bosnia-Herzegovina, on June 8 in Tampere, and against Liechtenstein, on June 11 in Vaduz.


Raitala, 30, has played 43 games with the Finland national team, making his senior debut on February 4, 2009, in a friendly against Japan. He has appeared in several World Cup and Euro Cup qualifying games, as well as appearing in UEFA Nations League and Baltic Cup games.


Raitala also played in the Finland youth system, representing his country at the U17, U19, and U21 levels, and was named the Finland U21 Player of the Year in 2009.
