Impact U15 to take part in the We Love Football tournament in Bologna

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact Academy announced on Wednesday that the Impact U15 will take part in the We Love Football tournament in Bologna, Italy, for a second straight year, from April 17 to 22.


Head coach Dominique Morin’s team will be in group C, with AS Roma (Italy), NK Lokomotiva Zagabria (Croatia) and US Sassuolo Calcio (Italy).


The Impact U15 will start its tournament on Wednesday, April 17, against NK Lokomotiva Zagabria, at 1:15pm (EDT). Montreal will then play on April 18 against AS Roma, at 1:15pm (EDT) and will end its group phase on April 19, against US Sassuolo Calcio, at 1:15pm (EDT).


The qualifying matches will be played from April 20 to 22 and the final will be played at the renowned Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, home of Bologna FC.


The tournament will host 16 teams in four different groups. This year, there will be eight Serie A teams, including Bologna FC, A.C. Milan and FC Internazionale Milano. Amongst the international teams, there will be AFC Ajax (Netherlands), SE Palmeiras (Brazil) and Atlético Mineiro (Brazil).


The Impact U15 plays in the Development Academy and is currently first of its division, still unbeaten, with a 12-0-2 record.
