MONTREAL -
The Montreal Impact Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Montreal and the Sud-Ouest borough, announced on Thursday the construction of a second multisport mini-field, this time at parc Joe-Beef, in Pointe-Saint-Charles, Montreal.

It was at Montreal's City Hall, in the presence of the Sud-Ouest borough's mayor, Benoit Dorais, the president of the Montreal Impact Foundation, Carmie Saputo, a few elected officials such as Saint-Henri-Est−Petite-Bourgogne−Pointe-Saint-Charles−Griffintown councillors Craig Sauvé and Sophie Thiébaut, Saint-Paul-Émard-Saint-Henri-Ouest councillor Alain Vaillancourt, as well as the director of the Sud-Ouest borough, Babak Herischi, and the director of administrative services for the Sud-Ouest borough, Tonia Di Guglielmo, that the announcement of this second mini-field was made, whose construction will be completed as soon as this summer.

"The Montreal Impact Foundation continues to promote physical activity by offering a mini-field for a second consecutive year," declared the president of the Foundation, Carmie Saputo. "We're extremely happy to give this neighbourhood's community the opportunity to take advantage of these new facilities."

"It's a privilege for the Sud-Ouest to have been chosen by the Montreal Impact for the construction of this mini-field," said mayor Benoit Dorais. I'm convinced that the neighbourhood's families and youth will be happy to have access to it. We would like to sincerely thank the Montreal Impact Foundation for its generous contribution. This acquisition adds to our efforts of upgrading our sports fields."

The first mini-field was unveiled last summer at parc Champdoré, in Montreal's Saint-Michel neighbourhood.
