Fourth nomination for Impact head coach this year
Head coach Rémi Garde seems to be impressing quite a few people as of late. For a third time in five weeks, Garde has been chosen on the MLS Team of the Week as its head coach, following very convincing wins against the New York Red Bulls, the Philadelphia Union, and more recently, the Columbus Crew SC, all ahead of the Bleu-blanc-noir in the standings.

His first nomination had come following the Impact’s 2-0 win over Sporting Kansas City on June 28, who at the time was first in the Western Conference.
Rémi Garde now stands alone as the only head coach to have been included on the MLS Team of the Week four times since the beginning of the campaign. This week, midfielder Saphir Taïder and goalkeeper Evan Bush were also honoured.
This year, Ignacio Piatti has been on the MLS Team of the Week seven times, followed by Garde at four. Evan Bush and Rod Fanni have both been included three times.
