The Montreal Impact can say mission accomplished after beating New York City FC three times over the last weekend in Development Academy, at the Belson Stadium, in the State of New York. The Impact U15 won 4-1, the Impact U17 3-1 and the Impact U19 2-1. It was a huge challenge that the Impact overcame against an MLS academy, away from home.
Confirmation from the Impact U15
Before this game, the Impact U15 scored an impressing total of 16 goals in three games. Against a high-level opponent, Serge Dinkota’s players rose to the occasion and won the game 4-1.
Maximilian Banfi opened the score in the 6th minute on a pass from Jean-Aniel Assi, at the same time as Cristiano Ronaldo who was scoring his first ever goal with Juventus at the same time. Nathan Saliba helped the Impact go back to the locker room with a two-goal lead when he scored a header on a corner kicked by Jordan Therrien.
New York reduced the score in the second half, but it didn’t last long. After a shot on the post from Jordan Therrien, Gabriel Antinoro scored his first goal of the game on a pass from Saliba, in the 60th minute. He quickly scored his second, alone against the goalkeeper, following a pass from Charles-Étienne Volcy.
With this fourth straight win, the Impact U15 remains at the top of the league and its group, with 20 goals scored and only three allowed.
The Impact U17 stays the course
Last week, we told you that two things were certain with the Impact U17: three goals scored and a win. Once again, Nicolas Gagnon’s players followed the “tradition” and won 3-1.
The Impact forward Mouhamadou Kane scored a brace in the first half. New York scored a goal in the minute following the start of the second half, but Matthew Catavolo scored the insurance goal in stoppage time.
The Impact U17 is also top of the general standing with four wins.
The Impact U19 wins a tight game
The Impact U19 won its game against NYCFC 2-1 in a very tight game.
New York was the first team to score, late in the first half, but midfielder Calin Calaidjoglu scored on a superb free kick right after.
In the end of the game, forward Woobens Pacius found the back of the net for the win. The U19 team has a 3-0-0 record, also good for the top of the general standing.

The Impact Academy faces another important challenge ahead this Saturday, as it hosts the New England Revolution at Centre Nutrilait.
The Impact U15 plays at 10am, the Impact U17 at 12:30pm and the Impact U19 at 3pm. The games are open to the public.
