The club’s badge put to the forefront by Labatt
25 years of history is worth celebrating in a big way. On Monday, May 21, the commemorative game for the Montreal Impact’s 25th anniversary will take place, exactly 25 years after the Bleu-blanc-noir’s first game on Quebec soil.
To highlight the event, our partner Labatt has created a special Budweiser can, which include the club’s badge and the downtown Montreal skyline. If these special cans will be available in grocery stores and dépanneurs only as of May 28 - 50,000 cases actually – , Bleu-blanc-noir supporters can get their hands on them at Stade Saputo as of the game on May 21, at 3pm, against the LA Galaxy (TVA Sports, TSN, 98,5fm, TSN Radio 690).
“The Impact is a team recognized across Quebec, in the same that Budweiser is, which is the province’s favourite beer,” said Jean Gagnon, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs in Quebec at Labatt breweries. “Highlighting the Impact’s 25th anniversary was a given. We wanted to do something special to celebrate this quarter-century.”
Supporters who will purchase a Budweiser can at Stade Saputo on May 21, and who also participate in the #BudImpact contest, stand the chance of winning access to the Budweiser mezzanine for two people for a game this season, as well as a special edition Budweiser can, signed by four Montreal Impact players. To take part in the contest, publish a selfie on social media during the game on May 21 including the hashtag #BudImpact. The winners will be contacted directly via social media after the game.
