MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that midfielder Shamit Shome has been loaned to Ottawa Fury FC, the Impact’s affiliated club in the USL, for the 2018 season.
Shome, 20, appeared in one MLS game with the Impact in 2017, after being selected by the club in the second round, 41st overall, at the 2017 MLS SuperDraft as a Generation adidas Canada member. He was finalist as Canadian U20 Player of the Year in 2016.
Per the Right of recall incorporated in the loan agreement, the player can return to the Impact at any time.
