MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday that American striker Nick DePuy has been loaned to Danish second division club BK Fremad Amager, for three months, with an option to renew the loan until December 2018.

“This loan will allow Nick to continue to progress as a player and gain experience with another club in Europe,” said technical director Adam Braz. “It was a good option for him and for the club.”

DePuy, 23, appeared in five games in his first MLS season in 2017, including one start, and 128 minutes, while also playing one Canadian Championship game. He was loaned a few times throughout the season to Ottawa Fury FC, in the USL, scoring two goals in eight games, including seven starts, and 625 minutes, with the Ontarian club.

He was drafted in the first round by the Impact, 19th overall, at the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
