Impact to face Las Vegas Lights FC in a preseason game in 2018

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact and the Las Vegas Lights FC, of the USL, announced on Monday a preseason matchup scheduled for Saturday, February 10, at 11pm (ET), as part of the Soccer Spring Training exhibition showdown, at Cashman Field, in Downtown Las Vegas.
“We are really excited to have accepted this invitation from Las Vegas Lights FC,” said Impact technical director Adam Braz. “We are in the process of finalizing our preseason plans and this is an excellent opportunity for us to play against a new USL team in good environment.”
The Impact will be the very first MLS club and opponent to face Lights FC, followed by Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United on the two following Saturdays as part of the showdown.
Las Vegas will make its USL debut in 2018 under head coach José Luis “Chelis” Sánchez Solá, who previously coached Chivas USA in MLS in 2013, as well as several Mexican clubs.
