The Academy teams were perfect last weekend when they all beat BW Gottschee, but this weekend, they face another challenge as they will play two away games in two days against the teams of Beachside SC and Oakwood SC.
The first games will be played on Saturday, against Beachside. The Impact U15 will play at 10am, the U17 at noon and the U19 at 2:15pm. The day after, against Oakwood, the Impact U15 will take the field at 11am, followed by the U17 at 1pm and the U19 at 3:30pm.
The Impact U15 ended a two-game losing streak when they won 3-1 against BW Gottschee, going back to the top of its division. The Impact U17 also won its game, 2-1, and they also climbed back to first. The Impact U19 followed suit with a 3-2 win, increasing their record to 8-0-0.

The Academy teams had good results against Beachside earlier this season, when they faced them on October 14. The Impact U15 won 1-0, the U17 2-0 and the U19 10-1.
Against Oakwood, the Impact also got the three wins on September 30. The U15 and U19 teams won their game 5-0, while the U17 won 3-1.
Beachside SC U15 lost its last three games and didn’t win in five straight games, after winning three of its first four games. The team still manages to score two goals per game on average and will be ready to fight as it seeks revenge against the Impact U15.
It’s slightly more complicated for Beachside SC U17, second to last in the division with only one win and six goals scored in seven games.
Beachside SC U19 is also in a bad position with a 2-4-1 record.
Oakwood’s teams, aside from the U15 group, are in a better position. The U15 team has a 3-7-1 record. They found a way to score 17 goals in 11 games, but also allowed 26.
Oakwood SC U17, with a 4-4-2 record, won its last two games, including a 3-2 win against the New England Revolution on October 28.
Oakwood SC U19 is in a better position, with a 5-3-1 record, 16 goals scored, 16 goals allowed and in fourth position in the division.
About Beachside Soccer Club
Beachside Soccer Club is located in Connecticut and is affiliated with MLS side New York City FC. Since it was founded in 1994, almost 85% of their players have gone on to play at the college level in the United States.
Among the players that have played for Beachside SC, many have gone on to have professional careers. Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber played for Beachside SC in his youth. Kyle Martino, now working as an analyst for NBC Sports, had a stellar career that began at the Connecticut soccer club as well, appearing in over 100 games for MLS side Columbus Crew, and also having a stint with the LA Galaxy. He represented the United States at the international level.
Club technical director Mickey Kydes played his football in Greece and in MLS. He was part of league’s inaugural season in 1996 as a member of the New York/New Jersey MetroStars.
About Oakwood Soccer Club
The club from Portland, Connecticut, was founded in 1980 by Rick Derella. It has a long and impressive list of players that got professional contracts in the last 30 years.
The name that stands out the most is Johann Smith, who played for the Bolton Wanders in the English Premier League before joining Toronto FC in 2008. Other than Smith, eight players from Oakwood got MLS contracts. Over thirty players also got professional contracts in North America at lower levels than the MLS.
