Perfect weekend for the Impact in Development Academy

Impact-Oakwood

The Impact ended its first month of the 2017-2018 Development Academy season with three wins on Saturday, at Centre Nutrilait, against the Oakwood Soccer Club teams.

Impact U15 dominates with five goals

Serge Dinkota’s team obtained its best result of the season in a 5-0 win. Maximilian Banfi, who got a few scoring chances in the previous games, scored his first goal of the season on a pass from Hugo Spinola.

In the second half, an avalanche of goals hit Oakwood on the field. Tomas Giraldo scored the second goal of the game when he recovered a ball in the box and shot in the left corner.

Matthew Catavolo followed with the first of two goals in the 51st minute on a pass from Rida Zouhir. He scored his second in the 72nd minute, taking advantage of a rebound. Forward Abdul Binate, who had just entered the game as a substitute, scored the other goal for the Bleu-blanc-noir.

3-1 win for Impact U17

The dynamic duo of Calin Calaidjoglu – Woobens Pacius struck again last weekend. Pacius scored all of his team’s three goals and each time, the pass was coming from Calaidjoglu’s foot. It’s the second hat trick in two games for the winger from Terrebonne.

Impact U19 decisive in the final third

Philippe Eullaffroy’s team tormented Oakwood last Saturday, winning 5-0, with many quality goals and keeping good control of the game.

Forward Vincent Lamy scored the first goal of the game when he finished the action with his first touch, after a pass from Protais Mutambala in the 13th minute. His second goal, in the 32nd minute, came after great buildup play that started in midfield and featured great forward passes.

In the second half, Raphaël Garcia scored the third goal of the game with a strong shot from the right side of the field, near the box, burying the ball in the top left corner.

Then, midfielder Mathieu Choinière took it to the next level with an impressive individual play. In front of the box and facing three defenders, he did two roulettes to get in the box and beat the defenders, and scored with a low shot into the bottom right corner.

Daniel Kinumbe was the last scorer of the game, assisted by Vincent Lamy, making it 5-0.

The three Impact teams will not be playing this coming weekend and will be back in action on Saturday, October 14, against Beachside Soccer Club, at Centre Nutrilait.
