Reggae Boyz to face USMNT Wednesday evening in Santa Clara
When it was crunch time, Shaun Francis was there for Jamaica. Playing his very first minutes of the tournament in the quarter-final, against Canada, the Bleu-blanc-noir’s new player scored in the sixth minute, a powerful shot that rattled the crossbar before landing behind Milan Borjan’s goal line. He then helped the Jamaicans beat Mexico in the semifinals, staying on the field for 53 minutes.
The Reggae Boyz’s #7 might start the Gold Cup final on Wednesday evening, against an unbeaten United States team. The continental crown will be played at 9:30pm, at Levi’s Stadium, the home of the NFL’s 49ers, broadcast on RDS2 and TSN1, 3, 4 and 5.
