Donadel Impact Art

Impact Art contest: Marco Donadel and Newton’s laws of motion

We will have special visitors at Stade Saputo on Wednesday: AS Roma, the Roman wolf, will be in town to face the Impact in an eagerly anticipated international game by Bleu-blanc-noir as well as Giallorossi supporters. The player under the spotlight for this game poster is Italian Marco Donadel, who has played against the Romans a few times during his spell in Serie A.

Illustrator Myriam Bouchard is behind this piece which paints Donadel, Fiorentina’s ex-captain, changing directions at full speed: “A feature unique to soccer players is without a doubt the constant imbalance to which the game actions immerse them,” explains the artist. “The result gives incredible positions if these moments can be captured on camera. In this illustration, I wanted to represent one of these infinite direction changes that continuously defy the laws of gravity and inertia. Donadel’s blonde, swinging hair was also used to amplify the movement effect in the drawing.”

After Bordeaux, River Plate, Fiorentina, AC Milan and Olympique Lyonnais, the Montreal Impact welcomes another big international club in our city. Seats in the Grey and General Admission areas starting at $33 are still available for this unique game at Stade Saputo!
