MONTREAL - Costa Rican midfielder Johan Venegas has been selected by its national team.
Venegas will take part in two training camps, the first from January 18-20 and the second from January 28 to February 3, including an international friendly against Venezuela on February 2 in Caracas.
The midfielder has scored four goals in 20 games so far with the Costa Rican national team. He made his senior debut on September 3, 2014, against Nicaragua in the Copa Centroamericana, scoring his first career goal in that game before helping Los Ticos win the tournament.
He also scored against Panama, Uruguay and Spain, and appeared in four 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup matches.
