MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that the decisive game of the Champions League finals against Mexico's Club América, set for Wednesday, April 29, at Olympic Stadium, will be played in front of a sellout crowd of 59,020.
Attendance will be the second highest total in club history, surpassing its previous Champions League mark from February 25, 2009, against Santos Laguna (55,571), as well as topping its inaugural MLS home opener on March 17, 2012, against the Chicago Fire (58,912).
"This is a new record for the club in terms of sales pace as we filled the stadium in less than two weeks, which is exceptional,” said Impact executive vice-president Richard Legendre. “We will be relying on our 12th man to help the club become CONCACAF champions and represent the region at the FIFA Club World Cup.”

The organization invites supporters to arrive early on April 29 to avoid traffic around Olympic Park and the ticket windows to buy or pickup tickets, as well as the entrance area, are due to security procedures. Since there are only 3,500 parking spots at Olympic Stadium, it is highly recommended that you use the metro (access via Pie-IX station). In the meantime, the Impact will play the first leg of the finals this Wednesday, at 9pm EDT, at Estadio Azteca, in Mexico City (TVA Sports 2, CJAD 800). Supporters are invited to a special viewing party at Corona Theatre Virgin Mobile (2490, Notre Dame West) starting at 8pm. Forward Cameron Porter and goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau will be on site. Prizes and special pricing will be part of the event.
