MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Saturday that forward Cameron Porter has signed a contract with the club.

“Cameron is a young player who has shown potential during camp and has impressed us,” said Impact head coach and director of player personnel Frank Klopas. “It will be up to him to continue to work hard and prove himself in order to earn minutes.”

Porter, 21, was selected by the Impact in the third round, 45th overall, in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.

He was named the 2014 ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, scoring 15 goals in 17 games played, tied for first nationally in goals scored last season. He tallied a total of 31 goals and 13 assists during his four seasons in the Ivy League.
