Marco Di Vaio's return could be spark in Philadelphia

Marco Di Vaio shot Philadelphia Union

While the Impact’s constant efforts to keep ball possession throughout Sunday’s game proved successful, the team couldn’t find the back of the net at the end of the 90 minutes.

Having scored two goals in three games so far this season, team captain Patrice Bernier feels that his side may have a spark for its next game versus Philadelphia as striker Marco Di Vaio is set to return from his three-game ban.

"Marco is a player that brings fear to the other team and more confidence to our team by knowing that you have a guy on your side that can change the game in the spur of a moment," explained Bernier. "We still, as a team, need to be a unit and create better chances for ourselves. Maybe having Marco back will give us fresh legs and that spark to come out with some points next game."

The Impact takes on the Philadelphia Union this Saturday, March 29 at 4pm at PPL Park (TVA Sports, TSN 690).
