The Montreal Impact announces three-year deal with TSN radio 690

TSN690 announcement

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday a three-year agreement with TSN Radio 690 as its English-language radio broadcast partner.

TSN Radio 690 and its sister station CJAD 800 will broadcast all of the Impact’s 34 MLS regular season games live, as well as playoffs, starting on March 8, in Dallas, Texas.

For the first time in club history, all 17 road games will be available on the radio.

"We are very proud to announce this deal, which will give our supporters a chance to follow all of our games on the radio," declared Impact president Joey Saputo. "It is important that we continue to be accessible to our fans and to give them different opportunities to follow their team. We are pleased to have come to this agreement with a partner who knows the importance of soccer, how it’s grown over the years and how it continues to establish roots in Montreal’s sporting community."

"Excitement for the Montreal Impact is at an all-time high following their run to the MLS playoffs last season, and TSN 690 is thrilled to offer this growing fan base full access to all Impact games," said Chris Bury, Program Director, TSN Radio 690. "Today’s announcement strengthens our ability to provide Montreal fans with the best in major league sports. With this new agreement, along with every Montreal Canadiens game and our marquee NFL coverage, TSN 690 is Montreal’s undisputed market leader in live English-language major league action."

The voices behind the radio broadcast will be Rick Moffat and Brian Wilde, for play-by-play, as well as former Impact player Grant Needham as analyst.

Broadcasts will feature pre-game and post-game shows.
