  • The Montreal Impact (11-7-5) will end a sequence of eight games in 22 days as it hosts the Houston Dynamo (10-7-6) on Saturday at Stade Saputo, at 7pm (ET), looking to improve its five-game home winning streak across all competitions.   • The Impact now sits third in the Eastern Conference with 38 points from 23 games played, only two points in front of the Dynamo, which is fifth with as many games played.

  • This is the second of three regular season meetings between the two sides in 2013. In the first matchup, the Impact shut out the Dynamo at home on June 19 by a 2-0 score, thanks to goals by Marco Di Vaio and Felipe.

  • The match will be presented by Uniprix. For the event, Uniprix coupons will be distributed at the Celebration Zone along with the setup of a photo booth and face-painting. There will also be distribution of Band-Aids upon exiting the stadium. Registration to participate in a precision shooting contest at half-time can be done at the Uniprix kiosk.

Team news

  • In its most recent home matchup, the Impact won 2-1 over D.C. United last weekend in MLS regular season action thanks to a brace by Marco Di Vaio, whose game-winner was nominated for Goal of the Week honours.

  • However, the Impact was forced to play a midweek fixture in CONCACAF Champions League play on Wednesday, travelling to Guatemala, where the team lost 1-0 against CD Heredia.

  • Impact head coach Marco Schällibaum will serve the first of a two-game suspension following an altercation in last Saturday’s matchup versus D.C. United. Assistant coach Mauro Biello will serve as the bench boss in his absence.
