Impact midfielder Justin Mapp named to 2013 MLS All-Star Inactive Roster

MONTREAL – Major League Soccer announced today that Montreal Impact midfielder Justin Mapp was named to the inactive roster for the AT&T MLS All-Star game, following a league-wide player vote.


In his second season with the Impact, Mapp has registered two goals and four assists in 14 games and 1,025 minutes of play. He also had a four-game streak with either a goal or an assist, from May 4 to May 25. This is Mapp’s first All-Star nomination, having previously played 45 minutes with the MLS Select against Real Madrid in 2005 in the Trofeo Santiago Bernabéu. He was also named to the MLS Best XI in 2006, while with the Chicago Fire.


Mapp joins nine other MLS players named All-Stars that won’t face AS Roma tonight.


Striker Marco Di Vaio and midfielder Patrice Bernier will join the other MLS All-Stars as they face AS Roma in the AT&T MLS All-Star game tonight at 9pm, at Sporting Park, in Kansas City, Kansas (RDS, TSN)
