Amway Canadian Championship TVA Sports

MONTREAL – All games played by the Montreal Impact, as part of the 6th edition of the Amway Canadian Championship, will once again be televised live in French by TVA Sports.


The Impact will face Toronto FC in the first leg of the semi-finals of the tournament on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:30pm (ET), at BMO Field. The return matchup is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30pm (ET) at Stade Saputo.


In the other semi-final series, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC will face FC Edmonton (NASL).

All six games of the tournament will also be televised live in English on Sportsnet.


The tournament final will be played on May15 and 29. The winner of the Amway Canadian Championship earns a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League, beginning in August.


The inaugural tournament was won back in 2008 by the Montreal Impact, while Toronto FC has taken the Canadian title in the four subsequent editions, from 2009 to 2012.


The Impact made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League in 2008-2009, while TFC qualified for the semi-final round in 2011-2012.
