Impact announce coaching staff ahead of trip to Italy

MONTREAL – Following the announcement of the 25-man roster travelling to Italy for the post-season training tour, the Montreal Impact announced on Monday the coaching staff that will accompany the team to Europe: Mauro Biello, as interim head coach for that trip, assistant coaches Mike Sorber and Denis Hamlett, Philippe Eullaffroy, director of the Impact Academy and head coach of the club U21 team, the Academy goalkeeper coach Youssef Dahha, as well as the fitness coach Paolo Pacione.


Paolo Pacione named fitness coach


Paolo Pacione has been named the team’s fitness coach for the 2013 season. Pacione has a Specialized Honours degree (BSc) in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. He has been working with the Canadian Soccer Association for a number of different teams, including the men’s senior and Olympic teams in 2012.


The Impact will fly to Italy tonight and is set to take on two Serie A teams (first division). The club will face off against Bologna FC on November 8 at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara and ACF Fiorentina on November 15 at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Two days earlier, the Impact will also face Fiorentina’s reserve team.
