Joey Saputo and the Montreal Impact involved in Movember with Procure

MONTREAL – Montreal Impact President, Joey Saputo, as well as the whole Impact organization, are proud to participate in the Movember initiative, through Procure.

The club invites all supporters to get behind the team in supporting the cause by donating generously on the Procure Montreal Impact webpage, at

Joey Saputo - Impact de Montréal pour Procure
(secured transaction). At the end of the month, Joey Saputo will personally match the donations.

Supporters can also get involved through the team’s Facebook page by sending pictures of their moustache’s evolution, throughout November, to
movember@impactmontreal.com
. The team will accept pictures up until Nov. 30, at 9pm. Supporters will then be asked to vote until Dec. 4, at 5pm, for the best supporter’s moustache by “Liking” the picture. The winner will receive an official 2012 Montreal Impact jersey. Pictures considered inappropriate will not be posted online.

The Movember movement began in 1999 in Australia and has become an international initiative. It is a month-long event that involves men growing moustaches during the month of November, to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, including prostate cancer.

On June 5, 2011, all the Impact players and staff, alongside the three generations of the Saputo family, took part in the 5th edition of the Procure Walk of Courage, on Ile Ste-Hélène.

Procure helps fight prostate cancer through research, information and public awareness.
