The season will start with the inaugural game at new Saputo Stadium against the Vancouver Whitecaps, Monday, May 19. Eight other games will also be broadcast live from Saputo Stadium, as well as the game on August 30 against the Carolina RailHawks, from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Each game will be presented during a three-hour show, which will include a 30-minute pre-game show, as well as analysis, comments and reactions immediately after the game.
Once again this year, Claude Quenneville will do the play-by-play with Guillaume Dumas, for game analysis. Marie-José Turcotte will host the show with Marc Durand and Andrea Di Pietrantonio, a former Impact assistant coach. LE SOCCER DE L’IMPACT on Radio-Canada is led by directors Renaldo Di Cesare and Luc Boisvert, and coordinating director Marc Plante.
Each game will also be broadcast live on www.radio-canada.ca/sports and on Sports Extra (channel 187), on Sirius Radio Satellite.
Should the Impact qualify, the playoff games could also be broadcast live. Note that this is the second season of a partnership that makes Radio-Canada the club’s official television broadcaster.
