The Impact will take on the Puerto Rico Islanders in the USL D1 quarter-finals

The first meeting between the two teams is scheduled for Friday, September 14, in Montreal, at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, at 7:30 pm. The return leg is set for Sunday, September 16, at 6 pm, at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium, in Bayamon.

“We have decided to play the first game at home and the second on the road so that traveling will be less of a factor for us,” said Impact head coach Nick De Santis. “We’ve also had success on the road this season so we are confident to play well for the decisive game there.”

The winner of the quarter-final series, determined on aggregate goals, will advance to the semi-final the following week.

The Impact has never lost in eleven games against the Islanders (8-0-3, 15GF-4GA), which are playing the fourth season of their history. This season, the Impact and the Islanders tied 1-1, May 11 in Puerto Rico. The Impact then shut out the Islanders 1-0, June 29, in Montreal.

Tickets for the quarter-final game are available through the Impact offices at 514-328-3668 or via the Admission network at (514) 790-1245. Prices for tickets are $25 for reserved seating, $10 (adults) and $5 (children) for general admission.

Sunday, the Vancouver Whitecaps tied the Portland Timbers 0-0, to end the regular season seventh in the standings, one point behind Puerto Rico. The Seattle Sounders, which shut out the Minnesota Thunder 1-0, won the regular season title with a 16-6-6 record and 54 points.

In the other quarter-final series, Seattle (1st) will face the Carolina RailHawks (8th), the Portland Timbers (2nd) will take on the Vancouver Whitecaps (7th), while the Atlanta Silverbacks (4th) will play against the Rochester Raging Rhinos (5th).
