Impact 1 Seattle 0

Two minutes after being substituted into the game, Di Lorenzo, who was posted deep on the left wing near the goal line, beat Seattle goalkeeper Christopher Eylander with a header in the top part of the net by redirecting a centering pass from Alen Marcina, who was starting his first game with the Impact.

“Tonight was a good team win,” said Montreal Impact head coach Nick De Santis. “The guys followed the game plan to perfection and we totally dominated the Sounders for the first 75 minutes of play. We were able to find spaces behind their defenders thanks to our speed up front. We also controlled the midfield throughout the game and it made the difference. This win is good for the team’s confidence.”

The Impact resisted numerous Seattle attacks in the last 10 minutes of play to put an end to a five-game winless streak.

The Impact is also the only USL D1 team that remains undefeated on the road this season (3-0-3)

Goalkeeper Andrew Weber, who was playing his second game of the season, registered the shutout and made a key-save on Sounders midfielder Greg Howes, in the first half's stoppage time.

Impact coach Nick De Santis made numerous changes in the line-up. Three players were starting their first fame game of the season with Montreal: defender Seth Trembly (who started as a midfielder), midfielder Antonio Ribeiro and forward Alen Marcina.

Montreal will play its next game on Friday, June 29, against the Puerto Rico Islanders at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, at 7 pm (Télévision de Radio-Canada, Sirius, USLlive.com).
