All Impact and USL D1 games broadcast on the web in 2007

The United Soccer Leagues and Turner Broadcasting announced a partnership to provide exclusive online video streaming of First Division games featuring all 13 clubs for the next three seasons.

“We are extremely excited to announce the launch of this initiative,” said USL Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Holt. “Our previous forays into online broadcasting showed great potential and we are confident that what Turner brings to this partnership will make USL Live a tremendous hit with our fans around the globe.”

”It will give die-hard soccer fans greater access to the sport they love, but it will also help to expose casual fans to the thrilling competitions of the world’s most popular sports,” said Phil Sharpe, SVP/GM of Turner Sports’ Play ON! Division. “We’re excited to work alongside the USL to bring their match-ups to fans.”

It will be possible to watch USL D1 games live or on-demand with full-screen video on a per-event basis, a monthly pass or season-long pass. Package pricing and the event schedule will be announced at a later date.

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner company, is a major producer of news, entertainment and sports products around the world and the leading provider of programming for the basic cable industry.

The Impact will kick off the 2007 First Division United Soccer Leagues season on Sunday, April 21 in Atlanta against the Silverbacks. The Impact will play its 14th home opener of its history at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex on Sunday, May 20, against the Seattle Sounders.
