Biello, who came into the action in the 61st minute, received a pass from defender David Fronimadis and beat Impact goalkeeper Dan Kennedy with a high shot.
Biellos goal allowed the team to clinch its 13th win of the season and to remain undefeated in Quebec City (4-0-1) and against the Islanders this season (2-0-1). It was also Biellos fifth winning goal this season and a seventh goal in his last nine games. He is currently the teams leading scorer with 17 points.
The Impact took a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute on the first goal of the season by Lars Lyssand. After receiving a header from midfielder Antonio Ribeiro, forward Charles Gbeke passed the ball to Lyssand, on a rush down the right side. The 25-year-old defender beat Islanders goalkeeper Dan Kennedy on his left.
The Islanders tied the game up in the 78th minute. On a free kick, forward Sebastian Rozental crossed the ball to Caleb Norkus, who beat Impact goalkeeper Greg Sutton from a shot inside the box.
Sutton tallied his 61st career win with the Impact, surpassing Paolo Ceccarellis record of 60.
Captain Mauro Biello, who is nearing the 20,000-minutes played mark, did not start the game but is only eight minutes away fron the milestone.
Islanders defender Chris Gores was ejected from the game in the 89th minute after receiving his second caution of the match.
With 12,128 fans, the Impact set a new attendance record for a regular season game in Quebec City. The previous record was set last year, with 9,763 fans in attendance.
With the win, the Impact remains in first place overall in USL D1 standings with 44 points.
Both teams will square off once again on Wednesday, at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, (7:30 pm, CKAC).
