Six Impact games on RDS in 2005

The first game will be broadcast on June 3, at 7:30 pm, when the Toronto Lynx will be the visitors at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, for the second home game of the season.

In July, two other Impact games will be broadcast: July 6, when the Richmond Kickers will be in town, and July 15, from James Griffin Stadium in Minnesota, as the Impact takes on the Thunder.

In the second part of the season, RDS will feature three home games, as the team prepares for its playoff run: Friday, August 26 against the Virginia Beach Mariners, August 31 when Montreal will square off against former Impact coach Bob Lilley and the Vancouver Whitecaps, and finally September 4 for the return match against the Thunder.

“Once again, we are pleased to count on RDS and their support,” said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo. “RDS is an important media partner that will allow soccer fans to follow the team and to see our players in action throughout the season.”

“Soccer is taking up more and more space in Quebec and the Impact’s performances are certainly a good springboard to further increase the sport’s popularity,” said RDS Vice-President Programming, François Messier. “Broadcasting Impact games on RDS is also proof of our interest to offer our viewers a complete and diversified programming schedule.”
