Three-year deal forthe Impact and Tim Hortons

“We are pleased to count on the support of a company like Tim Hortons”, said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo. “This partnership truly exemplifies the spirit of our team which seeks to be innovative, accessible and close to youngsters."

“Tim Hortons is very happy to continue with the partnership with the Impact and to associate its name to the Hand in Hand promotion,” said Chantal Cossette, Tim Hortons Quebec regional Marketing Director. “It is an incredible opportunity for the kids to be with their idols on the field. This promotion fits in well with our involvement in the soccer community.”

In the “Hand in Hand” program, before each Impact game at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, players of both teams will make their way to the field holding the hand of a young soccer player wearing the Tim Hortons colours.

Once again this season, four “Timbits mini-games” will be played during the halftime of Montreal Impact games. These mini-matches, which will feature six and seven-year old kids, will take place: June 3 and July 24 against the Toronto Lynx, July 6 against the Richmond Kickers and August 7 against the Atlanta Silverbacks.

The Impact will also be associated with Tim Hortons for “Camps Day” which will take place Wednesday, June 8. All proceeds of this day will help young underprivileged kids attend summer camps. For the occasion, 22 Impact players will be serving coffee in eleven Tim Horton of the Greater Montreal region.

The Impact will defend its First Division United Soccer Leagues championship title with a double-header in Puerto Rico, against the Islanders, April 29 and May 1. The Impact will play the 12th home opener of its history at Claude-Robillard Stadium May 29, in a showdown against the Rochester Raging Rhinos.
