Loyal to its commitment towards education and youth, the Montreal Impact renewed in 2017 its partnership with some of the greater Montreal school boards for a 12th consecutive year. The “All The Way with the Impact” program allows schools to benefit from a discount on regular ticket prices, as well as visits from a player in their schools. This partnership’s purpose is to allow families to come and see a Montreal Impact game at a preferential price and, most importantly, to allow students to learn about the importance of perseverance through player visits. Each school board has a designated game where two students from each school board receive the Tony Licursi Bursary, which is awarded to students who have excelled in both academics and in sports.
This year, we are happy to have a total of 12 school boards partnering up with us for this program. In the English sector, the Lester B. Pearson School Board, the English Montreal School Board, the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board and the New Frontiers School Board have signed on for this upcoming year. In the French sector, the Commission scolaire Marie-Victorin, the Commission scolaire de Montréal, the Commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l'Ile, the Fédération des établissements d'enseignement privés, the Commission scolaire de Laval, the Commission scolaire de la Seigneurie-des-Mille-Iles, the Réseau des Sports du Québec and the Commission scolaire des Affluents will be joining us this year.
Through the program, we are able to reach over 10,000 students and help encourage them to never give up!
