Wilfried Nancy - Assistant Coach

Wilfried Nancy is in his fifth season as first team assistant coach, after being appointed on January 7, 2016.

He was part of the coaching staff that won the 2019 Canadian Championship, at BMO Field in Toronto.

He previously served as a coach with the Academy since its inception in 2011, successively acting as U18 head coach from 2011 to 2013, U21 head coach in 2014 and U16 head coach in 2014 and 2015.

Before joining the Impact, Nancy coached at the AAA level in 2006 and 2007 and acted as technical director of the South Shore regional soccer association in 2008. He also coached at the provincial level.

Following a partnership with MLS and the French Football Federation, he received an Elite Formation Coaching Licence (EFCL).

He also holds the UEFA A licence and the A licence from the Canadian Soccer Association.

Originally from Toulon, in France, he played professional soccer from 1995 to 2005 with Sporting Toulon Var in Ligue 2, with Raon-L'Étape and Noisy-Le-Sec in the National division and with Beaucaire, Châtellerault and Orléans in the CFA division.

He was then named the Quebec University League Most Valuable Player with the UQAM Citadins in 2005.
