Chief Athletic Therapist for the Academy
Temporary replacement – Maternity leave (15 months) - Full-time
Summary of the position:
The chief athletic therapist oversees the evaluation and treatment all injuries suffered by Academy players. He or she must ensure that a return to action is optimized following an injury, but to also maximize player performances by suggesting specific exercises to avoid recurrences or risks of other injury. Also, he or she must supervise the sports therapist. The chief athletic therapist works closely with the fitness and mental coaches.
General Job Description:
-Plan preseason tests in order to verify where each player is prone to injury and to improve performances
-Evaluate and treat all injuries suffered by Academy players (U14 to U19)
-Suggest fatigue management and recovery methods
-Work all Academy games with the sports therapist and the interns
-Keep updated statistics regarding injuries for all the Academy’s teams, analyze the results and suggest recommendations to lower the injury rate.
-Educate young athletes on sports therapy
-Supervise the work and decisions made by the sports therapist
-Have excellent communication with the first team’s staff
-Assist all technical meetings with the Academy’s staff
-Constantly research new techniques and methods to treat high level athletes
-All other related tasks

Academy Video Analyst
Permanent- Full Time
Summary of the position:
The video analyst is responsible for capturing quality sports images that will be analyzed by the Academy’s different teams. He/she must put together pertinent videos to help develop and improve the performances of the Academy’s teams and players.
General Job Description/ Academy Video Analyst:
-Create different video sequences for the various Academy teams
- Create game and practice sequences at the coaches’ request
- Prepare video sequences of games played by opposing teams
- Prepare video sequences of specific players in a learning and development perspective. Same thing by position or line.
- Archive all videos produced
-Research via Instat, Wyscout, and Youtube in order to produce video sequences of specific and important events
-Exchange video sequences and other material with the different USSDA teams.
-Make more detailed analyses of certain video sequences at the coaches’ request
-Coordinate with the FSQ concerning the work done by referees during the Academy’s teams games
-Offer support to the team and equipment manager in case of need
-Participate in the Institute of offensive and defensive players project
-All other related tasks
-High school diploma
-Have training in sports video analysis or another related field would be an asset
-Know the video editing software Sportscode, Gamebreaker, and knowledge of Imovie
-Have an excellent knowledge of soccer
-Fluent in English and French, written and spoken
-Excellent analysis capacity with a developed analytical spirit

What is the mission?
The Soccer Schools’ Squad’s mission is to run soccer practices in schools with player 6 to 12 years of age. In order to offer quality sessions and help brand the Montreal Impact, you will be supported by both coaching and marketing departments at the Soccer Schools. It is therefore a fantastic growth opportunity on both sporting and professional levels.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking athletic and passionate students with soccer experience who wish to develop their coaching skills. We surround ourselves with individuals who like to work with the public in general and kids in particular. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative people who are open to being coached. All we ask of you is a good dose of energy and a few hours a week.
Coaches available year round and able to work at least 2 or 3 after-noons per week and week-ends. Candidates should be over 18 years old and have at least one year of working experience dealing with children. Candidates are required to hold a valid driving licenses and a clean criminal record.
Coaches available through the year and able to work at least 1 or 2 after-noons per week and Saturdays or Sundays. Candidates should be over 18 years old and have at least one year of working experience dealing with children. Candidates are required to hold a valid driving licenses and a clean criminal record.
Coaches available during school vacation, Christmas, Spring break and summer, at least 3 or 4 days per week and week-ends. Candidates should be over 18 years old and have at least one year of working experience dealing with children. Candidates are required to hold a valid driving licenses and a clean criminal record.
