Montreal Impact Foundation 50/50 draw ticket seller (volunteer position)

Job description

The Montreal Impact Foundation is currently looking for motivated and dynamic volunteers for their 50-50 draw team. The draw takes place at every home game at Stade Saputo. The Montreal Impact Foundation’s mission is to organize and support activities whose main objective is to improve the quality of life and children and their families from disadvantaged areas.

Main tasks

  • Sell 50/50 raffle tickets;
  • Manage your deposits;
  • Excellent customer service.

Skills and qualifications required

  • Excellent customer service;
  • Skills in persuasion and sales;
  • Dynamic;
  • Can express him or herself in French and English;
  • 18 years +

Manager, Media Relations


Supporting the director of communications and broadcast, the media relations manager acts as a resource for different media, in charge of coordinating interviews and other requests.

Main responsibilities

Establish and develop solid relationships with members of the media.

Manage media requests for players.

Coordinate interviews with the media and accompany the player.

Assist first team training in order to manage requests and ensure the proper functioning of activities.

Be present at all home games:

  • Prepare and ensure the proper functioning of the stadium’s press box.
  • Be available to answer requests and questions from the media.
  • Manage the media members’ accreditations.
  • Collaborate in managing interviews from TV and radio broadcasters.
  • Collaborate in the media availability after the game.       

Represent the communications department during multiple games on the road:

  • Coordinate the requests of media present.
  • Manage the media members’ accreditations.
  • Collaborate in managing interviews from TV and radio broadcasters.
  • Collaborate in the media availability after the game.       

Writing and translating of numerous documents:

  • Media notes for each game
  • Biographies of players and coaches
  • Press release, media advisories, and training schedule.

Ensure good relations with players, technical staff, journalists, broadcasters, MLS, and other clubs.

Qualifications, skills, and requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s in journalism, communications, public relations, or another related field.
  • Have 5 years of experience in journalism, communications, the world of sports, public relations, or an equivalent field.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work in a team, establish relations and collaborate on numerous projects.
  • Interest in soccer, the Montreal Impact, and MLS.
  • Passion and determination to succeed in the business of events and sports.
  • Excellent writer and knowledge of soccer-related vocabulary.
  • Available to work weekends.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Personality: autonomous, social, punctual, responsible, organized and meticulous.
