2012: Awarded the Giuseppe Saputo Trophy, given to the Impact Most Valuable Player after leading the team with nine goals, including six on penalty… Tied for fourth all-time in MLS history for most goals from the penalty spot in one season… Finished second on the team with eight assists, including four game-winning assists, tied for second in MLS… Also named the team’s 2012 Communitarian Award winner, presented to the player most involved with the community… Made 27 appearances, including 25 starts, totalling 2,194 minutes in his first season in MLS… Was the Impact’s vice-captain during the season… Named the MLS Player of the Month in August, helping the Impact win four straight games, scoring three goals and three assists over that span… Named the MLS Player of the Week for week 13-15… Selected five times to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week, for weeks 9, 12, 13-15, 24 and 25… Started one game in the Amway Canadian Championship and one MLS Reserve League game … Also played in international matches against Olympique Lyonnais, Bologna FC and ACF Fiorentina during the post-season tour in Italy.

2011/2012: Played a half season with first division side Lyngby BK, in the Danish Superliga, scoring two goals in 12 games… Was named the team’s MVP for the first half of the season… Played one game in the Danish Cup… Signed with the Montreal Impact on December 18.

2010/2011: Registered one goal and one assist in 22 games with FC Nordsjaelland in Danish first division… Helped his team win a second consecutive Danish Cup, playing in two games, but missed the tournament final due to injury… Also played two qualifying matches for the Europa League, against Portuguese club Sporting CP.

2009/2010: Played 27 games in his second season with FC Nordsjaelland, recording two goals and one assist… Helped the club win the Danish Cup, adding one goal and one assist in six games during the competition… Missed the final due to injury.

2008/2009: Signed with Danish first division club FC Nordsjaelland on June 25… Recorded five assists in 27 regular season games… Registered two goals and one assist in four qualifying matches before playing two UEFA Cup games in 2008, against legendary Greek club Olympiacos F.C… Also played one Danish Cup game.

2007/2008: Joined FC Kaiserslautern, then in the 2.Bundesliga, Germany’s second division, on May 28, 2007, scoring one goal in 15 games… Also played in two DFB-Pokal national championship games.

2007: Scored two goals and added one assist in nine games with Tromso IL in the Tippeligaen, Norway’s first division.

2006: Played 24 games with Tromso IL, registering one goal and two assists… Also played three Norwegian Cup games.

2005: Named Tromso IL’s Player of the Year after playing in 24 games…Played in two Norwegian Cup games… Also took part in six UEFA Cup matches, helping the club beat Turkish giants Galatasaray S.K. in the first round before playing in the group stage against RC Strasbourg (France), A.S. Roma (Italy), FC Basel (Switzerland) and Red Star Belgrade (Serbia)… Saw his club refuse an offer of 1.3 million € from Turkish club Besiktas Istanbul to obtain his services.

2004: Began the season in Norwegian second division with Moss F.K., scoring one goal in 11 games, before making the jump to first division with Tromso IL in the summer… Scored one goal in 11 games with his new team.

2003: Joined Moss F.K in Norwegian second division before the season, playing 29 games with the team.

2002: Scored four goals in 23 games in his last season in North American second division with the Impact.

2001: Started a team-leading 23 games, recording his first career goal while registering three assists… Also helped the Impact win the Montreal Cup, a six-team international tournament.

2000: Started 27 of 28 games played and registered three assists in his first season with the Montreal Impact.

INTERNATIONAL
Has played a total of 49 games for the Canadian National Team, in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2005, 2007 and 2009, as well as FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2004 and 2008… Played in two games against Saint-Kitts-and Nevis and one game against Panama in the CONCACAF qualification for the 2014 World Cup… Has also been a member of the U23, U20 and U17 National Teams… Named CanadaSoccer.com Fan’s Choice in 2010.

COLLEGE
Played for Syracuse University in 1999, where he was named to the All-Rookie and All-Conference teams.

YOUTH
Played with FC Sélect Rive-Sud in the Quebec Elite Soccer League.

PERSONAL
Married to Mélisa and has a daughter, Sophia-Jade… Played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League between 1996 and 1998 with Val d’Or and Sherbrooke… His cousin, Maxime Fortunus, played with the Dallas Stars of the NHL.
