Preston Burpo - Goalkeeper Coach

Preston Burpo will begin his first season as goalkeepers coach with the Montreal Impact, after joining the club on October 3, 2011.
Burpo most recently served as a scout for the United States Soccer Federation in 2011. As a coach, he worked five years with Crossfire FC, in Seattle, Washington. He also served as goalkeeper coach with the University of Cincinnati.
As a player, Burpo distinguished himself during nine seasons and 143 matches with the Seattle Sounders in the North American second division, from 1997 to 2005. He registered 38 shutouts, 631 saves and a GAA of 1.19 while helping Seattle win the Playoff Championship in 2005.
He then played 57 games in MLS, from 2006 to 2010, with Chivas USA, the Colorado Rapids and the New England Revolution.
As a collegiate player, he played for Southern New Hampshire, from 1992 to 1995, graduating with a degree in Liberal Arts.
