In order to facilitate communication between the Supporter Groups and the Club, and to notably manage the supporter group’s special projects, a Supporters Association was created in 2012. The Supporters Association is formed and managed entirely by the Montreal Impact’s supporters.
The Association will manage the funds to finance the different supporter group initiatives.
MONTREAL IMPACT SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION
The Association is an independent organization offering a structure for the Montreal Impact's active supporters. This takes many shapes, such as the promotion of supporter culture, as well as financing and organizing activities in and out of the stands (away trips, public viewings, etc.). The Association also serves as first point of contact for new supporters looking for information about the different groups. The Association is a not-for-profit organization.
The Ultras Montréal (UM02) was founded in 2002 and has, as its main objective, to support the team by organizing visual animations (tifos), while chanting and standing up during the 90 minutes of each game, both in Montreal and on the road whenever possible, as evidenced by its motto “Always faithful.” UM02 can be found in section 132 and are easily recognizable, wearing branded clothing and scarves, in which the sales of these items will finance its activities.
AIME TA VILLE, SUPPORTE TON CLUB!
Formed in 2011, 127 Montréal actively supports the Montreal Impact in the stands. Standing at the top of section 217 in its first year, 127 Montreal will move to section 127 in 2012 in order to support the team in its MLS debut. Although it is a group of active supporters, the atmosphere in its section is more relaxed than other North American supporter groups.
127 Montréal is also a group of people trying to break the barrier between supporters, by organizing friendly soccer games, with viewing parties for away games, or by tailgating before the games.
Named after the founding year of our city, 1642MTL was formed in 2015.
Its three main objectives, aimed at uniting fans and representing our city, are:
- Motivate/support the team at home games using visual displays and chanting;
- Build and keep a good rapport with the team, the league and all other partners;
- Give back to the community through activities and fundraising for players’ charities.
The group is located in section 114 during home games. If not travelling to away games, it holds its away viewings at Café Van Horne on Bernard Street.
1642MTL prides itself on being an inclusive group open to all IMFC fans.
