Stadium - Rules & Regulations

The following Rules & Regulations are in place to ensure that everyone in attendance enjoys the game, creating a unique atmosphere at the stadium. Our staff will proactively enforce these Rules & Regulations and any violation may result in immediate ejection from the stadium premises and/or remanded to the proper authorities and/or result in the revocation of ticket purchasing privileges. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

  1. Spectators must comply with security personnel and all Montreal Impact representatives regarding stadium operations and emergency response measures;

  2. Spectators shall not interfere with the progress of the game by entering the field area, by throwing objects onto the field or interfering with the event in any fashion.

  3. Spectators will not exhibit any obscene, indecent, political or insightful messages on signs, clothing or other material.

  4. Spectators are prohibited to sit in a location other than their ticketed seat and will have to show their tickets when requested. The Impact reserves the right to relocate spectators;

  5. No re-entry will be permitted once you have exited Stade Saputo. In case of an emergency, please visit our guest services located below section 134;
  6. Food and beverages purchased outside the stadium are not allowed in to Stade Saputo. For your convenience, there are several concessions throughout Stade Saputo as well as water fountains;

  7. Spectators who consume alcoholic beverages shall do so in a responsible manner. Spectators who appear to be intoxicated or unmanageable will not be permitted into the stadium. Stadium staff reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to an intoxicated person;

  8. In the event a ball leaves the field of play, spectators are to return the ball to a stadium staff member or a ball kid;

  9. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside Stade Saputo, except in our designated smoking areas located outside the gates;
  10. The distribution or use of pamphlets, handouts, stickers or any other kind of advertisement is prohibited or must be approved by Montreal Impact staff;

  11. The possession or use of flares, smoke bombs, sparklers, fireworks or any prohibited pyrotechnic items of any kind are strictly prohibited;

  12. There will be zero tolerance for the violation of any local, provincial or federal laws;

  13. All Montreal Impact ticket holders waive their  rights to the use or broadcast of their image(s) taken inside or within the vicinity of Stade Saputo and Olympic Stadium and authorizes the Régie des installations olympiques, the Montreal Impact, the visiting club and its agents to use their image in video, photography or any other reproduction wholly or in part, from the event in question.

* Stade Saputo and Montreal Impact management reserve the right to modify the Code of Conduct, Rules & Regulations, Prohibited Items List, and policies or procedures at anytime without notice to spectators.

Stade Saputo Signage Policy

Spectators are permitted to bring event- related signs, banners and flags without poles into Stade Saputo to exhibit their support for the club. All signs, banners, and flags must respect the following guidelines:

  1. Prior to every game, all signage must be approved by stadium staff at the main entrance of Stade Saputo.

  2. Sticks and poles, no matter the size, are prohibited.

  3. All signs, banners and flags may not be larger than 3' x 5'.

  4. Signage must be event related and may not cover any stadium signage.

  5. We ask that all signage be used in celebratory fashion meaning, pre-game, halftime, post-game or after a goal in order to respect the view of other spectators during play.

  6. Banners with any racist, anti-sport, sexist, political, violent or defamatory messages aimed at any group or individual are prohibited.Spectators will not exhibit any obscene, indecent, political or insightful messages on signs, clothing or other material.

  7. Impact staff reserves the right to confiscate signage that is deemed inappropriate.

Signage Policy for Supporter Sections

In addition to respecting all of the above guidelines, spectators with a valid ticket in supporter section, 114, 127 (rows D-L), and 131/132 will be permitted to enter Stade Saputo with a flexible PVC pole no longer than 6 feet in length. Rigid sticks or poles are prohibited.

Supporter’s Section

  1. Saputo Stadium and Montreal Impact management in conjunction with MLS, reserves the right to revoke any privileges if the supporters do not cooperate in a respectful manner and abide by the Code of Conduct, Rules & Regulations, Prohibited Items List, or any other rules,  regulations, policies or procedures set forth by Stade Saputo, the Montreal Impact and Major League Soccer;

  2. A valid game ticket for sections 114,127 (rows D-L) and 131/132 is required, (section 112 for visiting supporters);

  3. Sections 114, 127 (rows D-L) and 131/132 are the only sections designated as supporters sections and general admission. Fans are permitted to remain standing. Supporters will wave flags, play their drums chant and sing throughout the match (if neccessary, this privilege is granted to visiting supporters in section 112);

  4. The use of rigid flag poles is prohibited. Only flexible PVC poles will be allowed in the stadium;

  5. Impact supporters are prohibited to enter the visiting team’s supporters section at any time, and visiting supporters are prohibited to enter the Impact supporters section;

  6. Spectators wearing visiting team fan gear including jerseys, scarves etc. are prohibited to enter the Impact supporters section. The Impact reserve the right to relocate spectators;

  7. Impact staff reserves the right to confiscate banners that are deemed inappropriate. Banners with any racist, anti-sport, sexist, political, violent or defamatory messages aimed at any group or individual are prohibited.

  8. All drums, flags, banners, megaphones, or any other items looking to be brought into the stadium need to be approved by the Impact and stadium staff.
