Permitted & Prohibited Items

All spectators attending a Montreal Impact event are subject to a visual inspection by security prior to entering the gates. Spectators with bags are subject to a more thorough visual inspection and will be asked to open the bag. To limit potential wait times at stadium gates, stadium management suggest:

  • Spectators arrive at stadium gates 90 minutes prior to kickoff;

  • Spectators carry the fewest items possible;

  • Spectators follow direction from security;

Permitted Items include:

  • Bags smaller than 14”x14”x6”

  • Cameras with lenses shorter than six (6) inches

  • Infant food and bottles when accompanied by an infant

  • Children’s juice boxes when accompanied by a child

  • Additional clothing and blankets

Spectators who are found attempting to enter the stadium with the following items will be turned away and may be remanded to the appropriate authorities.

Prohibited Items include:

  • Animals (with the exception of guide dogs for the disabled)
  • Cameras with lenses longer than six (6) inches
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Balls (soccer balls, beach balls, inflatable balls, balloons, etc.)
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Aerosol cans, spray cans, corrosive, flammable substances, dyes or receptacles containing substances which are harmful to health or are highly flammable
  • Bottles, cans, thermoses, and other beverage containers
  • Video cameras
  • Chairs or seat cushions larger than 15”x15” or those that contain metal arms or backs (other than those approved for persons with special needs)
  • Headwear or clothing that may impede the view of fans
  • Streamers and confetti
  • Bags larger than 14”x14”x6”
  • Illegal drugs and substances
  • Flares, smoke bombs, sparklers, fireworks or any other non-approved pyrotechnic items
  • Coolers and ice chests
  • Mechanically-operated instruments which produce a excessive noise such as megaphones, air or gas-powered horns (need management’s approval in supporters sections only)
  • Skateboards or Rollerblades
  • Monopods and tripods
  • Outside food & beverage of any kind
  • Umbrellas
  • Laser pointer devices
  • Selfie-stick 
  • Sticks or poles (need management’s approval)
  • Radios or hand-held TV’s larger than pocket-sized
  • Any promotional or commercial materials
  • Clothing with profane or abusive language, obscene graphics, or material considered to be indecent or inappropriate by stadium management
  • Vuvuzelas; whistles
  • Other objects which could compromise public safety and/or harm the reputation of the Event
