Anthony Jackson-Hamel and Laurent Ciman selected for international duties

MONTREAL – Forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel and defender Laurent Ciman have been selected by their national team to take part in upcoming international games.
Jackson-Hamel has been invited by the Canadian national team to take part in two friendly games in Marrakech, against Mauritania on October 7 and against Morocco on October 11.
This is his first invitation with the senior team, after playing five games for the Canadian U23 national team, including four starts, in the 2015 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament, in October, as well as two games with the Canadian U20 national team in the 2013 U20 CONCACAF Championships, in Mexico.
Ciman will return to the Red Devils for two UEFA Group H qualification games for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, on October 7 against Bosnia-Herzegovina at Stade Roi Baudouin, in Brussels, and on October 10 against Gibraltar, at Estádio Algarve, in Portugal.
At the international level, Ciman has played 12 games with the Belgian National Team, making his official debut with the Red Devils on May 19, 2010, against Bulgaria. He scored his first international goal on June 16 in a friendly game against Norway. He started one game against Italy at Euro 2016 and was on the roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He played four qualifiers for Euro 2012 and was also selected for Euro 2016 qualifiers. He also took part in the 2007 U21 UEFA Championship with Belgium and suited up for his country at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, with the U23 team.
