ROCHESTER, New York – FC Montreal will face the Rochester Rhinos for a third time this season on Saturday at 7:05pm EDT at Rochester Rhinos Stadium. The game will be available via streaming at www.montrealimpact.com.

The Rhinos have won the two previous meetings between the rivals this season. On April 23, in Rochester, Charles Joly scored the first goal, but Christian Volesky replied with two of his own in four minutes to lift his team to a win. In Montreal, on June 4, the Rhinos won 2-0. Volesky scored once again.

The Rhinos are now sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 7-4-5 record. The team has allowed only 14 goals in 16 games.

“The goal of reaching another level is always present in the players’ mind, so we get back in the right direction quickly after a game,” said head coach Philippe Eullaffroy. “The quality in training is impeccable. We have to prove ourselves every game, even more so when results are not satisfying. Rochester is a really good team. It’s also a chance for us to show where we are, as well as the progression and the quality that our young players have.”

After not scoring in five of its first eight games, FC Montreal has found the back of the net more regularly lately, scoring in six of its last seven games.

In the last game, on July 9 against New York Red Bulls II, winger Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla scored his third goal this season, while Janouk Charbonneau tallied his first as a professional.

“We use the flanks efficiently and shoot on goal,” said Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla. “Collectively, we are positive. We want to go and get the three points in their stadium.”

An important number of supporters organized a trip to support the club’s USL team in Rochester this weekend.

After this game, FC Montreal’s next outing will be on Saturday, July 30, against the Charlotte Independence at 3pm at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex.
