FC MONTREAL ADDS BADREDDINE BOULAJOUL AND PIERRE LAMOTHE TO ITS ROSTER

MONTREAL – FC Montreal announced on Saturday that forward Badreddine Boulajoul and midfielder Pierre Lamothe have joined the USL team with an academy contract.

Born in Safi, Morocco, Boulajoul is 19 years old and was playing forward with the Impact U18. In the 2015-16 USSDA season, he scored 14 goals in 21 games. He had joined the Montreal Impact Academy in January 2015.

As for Pierre Lamothe, the 18-year-old midfielder was born in Greenfield Park, Quebec. He played the most minutes among the U18 Impact team in the last USSDA season, making 28 appearances and scoring five goals. He has been with the Academy since its creation in September 2011.

“Pierre is a midfielder with a rich technique and a really good soccer IQ,” said FC Montreal head coach Philippe Eullaffroy. “As for Badreddine, he’s a pure forward who is attracted by the goal, with really interesting movements.”

Both players have the Canadian citizenship and took part in a U20 development camp with the Canadian national team under head coach Robert Gale in September 2015. Before joining the Impact, Boulajoul played with Monteuil, while Lamothe played with CS Longueuil.
