Johan Venegas selected by the Costa Rica national team

MONTREAL – Midfielder Johan Venegas has been selected by the Costa Rican national team for two CONCACAF fourth round qualification games for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, against Jamaica on March 25 and 29.
Los Ticos will begin their preparation on March 20 before facing Jamaica on March 26 at Independence Park, in Kingston. These teams will meet again four days later at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica, in San José.
Venegas, 27, has scored four goals in 21 games so far with the Costa Rican national team, making his senior debut on September 3, 2014, against Nicaragua in the Copa Centroamericana. He recently played one 2018 World Cup qualification game and appeared in four 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup matches, including three starts.
