MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Monday the renewal of its agreement with 98.5fm, a Cogeco Media network radio station, for a second consecutive year as the Impact’s francophone radio broadcasting partner for the 2016 MLS season.
A minimum of 21 Impact games, presented by BMO, will be broadcast this season.
“We are very proud to begin a second season with 98,5fm, the number 1 radio in Quebec. We will once again be able to reach a large number of fans throughout the season,” said Hugues Léger, Impact Chief Marketing Officer. “This partnership also allows us to spread the soccer culture across Quebec.”
“98.5fm and Cogeco Media are very pleased to renew is partnership with the Impact,” said Michel Tremblay, sports director at 98.5FM. “We are also very excited to offer more games than last year to our audience. We want to continue providing all soccer and Impact fans an outlet to follow their team and get closer to the action.”
Each broadcast will be preceded by a 30-minute pregame show and will be followed by a postgame show as well.
