Calendar2016

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact and Major League Soccer unveiled the 2016 schedule on Thursday, the fifth in MLS in club history. The season will be a total of 34 games, 17 at home, the first two at Olympic Stadium, and 17 on the road.

The team will kick off its season on March 6 against the Whitecaps FC, at BC Place, in Vancouver, at 5:30pm ET (RDS, TSN) and will then play its home opener on Saturday March 12, at the Olympic Stadium (time to be determined) against the regular season defending champions New York Red Bulls.

The team will then play in Dallas on March 19 and in Seattle on April 2, before its second and last game at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, April 9 versus Columbus, the team which beat the Impact in the Eastern Conference Semi-final.

The Impact will play the first of 15 games at Stade Saputo against its great rivals Toronto FC, on Saturday, April 23.

“The season will kick off with great matchups against important rivals,” said Impact executive vice-president Richard Legendre. “We like the schedule which is well balanced during the year compared to 2015, notably how home games were spread.”

The team will play 22 games on Saturday and seven on Sunday for a total of 29 games on weekend days, as well as five midweek games on Wednesday.

Other interesting matchups

The Impact will also face Toronto on August 27 at BMO Field, in Toronto, and on October 16 in Montreal.

The regular season will end on Saturday, October 23, as the Impact visits the Revolution in Foxborough.
Game times and broadcast schedule are still to be determined.
2016 season tickets are still available at the same price as 2015, starting at $339 at 514-328-3668 or impactmontreal.com.
