The Montreal Impact won a prestigious 2015 Boomerang Award, Thursday night, at Théâtre Maisonneuve at the Place des Arts, in a gala celebrating digital communications.

The website was developed in collaboration with Deux Huit Huit web and design agency for supporters to enjoy the historic CONCACAF Champions League run. In an innovative way, the website explains the tournament and its meaning through artwork from artist Jimmy Vong, who also won a Grand Prize Artisan award for his illustrations on #marquonslhistoire.

“We are proud to have put in place a very successful website that became much more than a simple page. The site quickly became a slogan for our Champions League run, being adopted by the supporters, the team and the media,” said Montreal Impact Director of Communications Patrick Vallée. “I particularly want to acknowledge the work done by my team, including co-author David Fuenzalida, as well as the collaboration of Deux Huit Huit, with Caroline Couture and Alex Leduc, who swiftly understood where we wanted to go with this project, while delivering a website in record time, but also for making us discover an outstanding illustrator.”

The #marquonslhistoire success prompted the organization to adopt the same style for its MLS gameday posters.

The complete 23-poster collection (MLS and Champions League) is available for only $30 via the Montreal Impact boutique: https://boutiqueimpactmontreal.com/accessoires/game-day-posters.html
