The Impact announces plans for 2014 training camp

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday that the 2014 training camp will open on January 27 in Montreal before heading to Florida on February 14 to defend its Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic® title in Orlando. The team will make its third straight appearance in the tournament.


The 5th edition of the tournament will take place from February 19 to March 1 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.


The Impact will play four games during the tournament, on February 19, 22, 26, while the finals will be held on March 1. Game times and opponents are yet to be determined.


In February 2013, the Impact blanked the Columbus Crew by a 1-0 score to win the tournament, finishing the competition with three wins and one draw.


Contest – Trip to Orlando

The Impact also announced a contest for all its season ticket holders. All members who refer six new season ticket members before December 13, 2013 will automatically be entered in our “See the Montreal Impact at training camp” contest: a three day, two night stay in Orlando at the end of February, 2014. *Contest rules available here.


2014 Calendar

The Impact will kick off the 2014 season on March 8 against FC Dallas, at Toyota Stadium before heading to Houston to take on the Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on March 15. The home opener is set for March 22 against the Seattle Sounders FC at Olympic Stadium, which will also host games versus the New York Red Bulls on April 5 and the Chicago Fire on April 12. The first game at Stade Saputo is set for April 26 against the Philadelphia Union.
