The Montreal Impact, and especially its President Joey Saputo, have joined forces on a number of occasions with Procure to help raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
In his latest venture, Joey Saputo promised to dye his beard blue if he was able to reach $25,000 as part of the Procure Challenges.
As financial support for his challenge continues to trickle in, he decided that the timing to dye his beard couldn’t have been better as the month of November has come to an end.
“Taking part in the Procure challenge, I said I was going to dye my beard and today is the day I keep my promise,” said the Impact president. “I was up to the challenge and I would like to thank all those who supported me. It’s a cause that is close to my heart. Now we’ll see what is in store for me next year.”
Procure is the only Quebec organization that fights prostate cancer. Its mission is to create awareness and to educate the population about this disease that affects 1 in 7 men.
