Hassoun Camara: "We are proud to bring the cup back to Montreal"

Hassoun Camara celebration Vancouver Aldo

Read what defender Hassoun Camara had to say after last night's result in Vancouver. The Frenchman scored his team's second goal of the night in the 84th minute to make it 2-2 at BC Place.

On how he feels about winning the Canadian Championship:

“We are very very proud and very happy because we knew it was an important thing for the fans in Montreal who were waiting for that, our president, our owner, his family too. So we would like to bring it to Montreal and that’s what we did.”

On his first cup:

“It’s my first one. So it’s a good thing to win this cup with great players like Alessandro Nesta and Marco Di Vaio on our team, because we have only good players on our team. So we are very proud and very happy to bring this to Montreal.”

On his goal:

“I scored the first goal. I don’t know yet if it was offside. It shouldn’t be, but I trust the referee. I had to keep going and be focused on the game because it was long and I would have a second chance for sure. So with the quality of Justin Mapp on the corner kick, I knew I would have the possibility to do that. That’s what I did and I’m happy to bring this cup to Montreal.”
